Air pollution control equipment for mining industries.
Pure Skies 2.0
what we did:
Outdoor deployment of Pure Skies in a 200 acre area covered in Dec 2021 - March 2022 improved the air quality by >66%.

The Problem:
Mining is a polluting industry, and it faced the problem of fugitive particulate matter (PM). Despite having the most expensive point source air purifying systems such as electrostatic precipitators, bag filters, scrubbers etc., they were not able to address fugitive emissions. The ambient air quality levels at the facility were several times the regulatory levels, both national and international. Polluted air causes issues such as community backlash, regulatory fines, and a tainted brand image that the companies typically wish to avoid.
The Solution:
Devic Earth’s Environmental Engineering experts studied the 200-acre premises and factored in the production schedules, wind movement and topography. They examined the levels of VOCs. As per the baseline reading of air quality for 2 weeks, Devic Earth installed Pure Skies, a unique IoT-enabled technology, to control levels of PM2.5 and PM10.0. We also deployed air quality monitors to study the improvement in air quality over the next few months.
The Outcome:
Within 4 months there was a 66% decline in PM2.5 levels and a 55% decline in PM10.0 levels. The company already known for its sustainability initiatives such as rainwater harvesting and increasing green cover, monitoring and auditing, successfully boosted its efforts with the help of Pure Skies.
